The phrase that your handicapped brain is trying to go for is “piss away money”. Someone like you obviously needs every penny they can get, so I see why you’re a cheapskate.

I tip. And I tip well. Generally 20-30%. Piss off piss away you get the meaning. When semantics and insults are all you have your position is weak. Like your mind. I have read your other posts. You come off as a condescending prick with nothing constructive to say. Edit - Your bio states you are an attorney. I once took an attorney to small claims court representing my clinic for non-payment on a personal injury patient. My handicapped mind won. The wife and I celebrated with steaks at Ruth's and tipped large. Owning a medical business I work regularly with attorneys. There are a lot of good attorneys out there. And then there are those like you.

I didn't mind it at first but now I'm like hell no. Give me a discount, I will give you a tip. That's my compromise.

Now at Jimmy John's you have to "sign a receipt" that has a tip section on it. I am going to get the app. This crap is getting out of hand.

Sure this has been mentioned in the 10 pages but I ordered pizza online from a local place and it requires pre payment and had a tip option, I left 5 dollars on a 2 pizza order. Not sure why, I’m going to pick it up, you’re just doing your job to make my pizzas, but anyway

Get there to pick it up and the kid says I have to sign my ticket and he will get the pizzas, when I go to sign there’s a line for “additional gratuity” even asked about it and the manager said they just like to “give people an opportunity to recognize good service during the pick up experience”
get the frick outta here

Semantics. Lol. You’re unable to communicate your position clearly.

Small claims court.

You’re an LOP doctor? Which strip mall is your “clinic” located?

I specifically said in the OP that this was about take-out and drive-thru.

I said I tip when dining in a sit-down restaurant.

So you are telling us that you score very low in reading comprehension?

Man, you are a fricking idiot.

I’ve said it on here before, if the server / barista appears like they voted for Biden, which they all do as they typically dress like Antifa members, then I don’t tip. Otherwise, I’ll throw $1.00 in sporadically.

That's a sign of a mental disability such as autism.

You've accused multiple people of being autistic in this thread.
A. frick you
B. Your posts in this thread show that if anybody in this thread is autistic, it's you, and not rainman-like autistic where you're still really smart, just full-on retarded.

This thread again.

Ive worked a lot of service industry stuff, and I cant say Im surprised TD is complaining about this a lot now.

The late 30s/40s dude with the wife getting more plump, with kids and a job he hates. Yeah, he aint typically going to tip you great.

Thats becoming the dominant demographic of TD.

Went to the LSU baseball game and the queen behind the concession stand held on to my grub and watched which tip button I pushed before handing it over.

I'm done with tipping as well. Entitlement destroyed this country

Are they going to take your food away if you don't tip or follow you home and stick ice picks in your tires? If the place is a one and done, who cares. If it is your regular place to get food, then why not leave a tip?

If you tip for any reason other than the quality of your service you're an idiot.

Good service = good tip (you be the judge of what good is)

Bad service = bad tip/no tip (you be the judge of what bad is)

And check your ticket, the sneaky think they do is add the 20% tip to your bill, your tip is just above the 20%. When they do that I tip nothing and don't go back to that establishment.

There's two in BR that do it (at least the one time I went to them) and one other that I have heard of from a friend. Not mentioning their names but they're not high end establishment and we didn't have a large party. (4 on time and 2 the other.)

I don't mind pay being increased and cost of product increasing. It's the percentage that is expected which annoys me. I waited tables back in high school and college. I remember 15% being the expectation. Maybe more or less depending on the situation, but 15% was the norm. Then the goal post moved to 18%. Now it's 20%. That's what's frustrating me. That and tips being expected everywhere. There should be no tip in a drive through, pick up counter, etc.. If you aren't waiting on me for my 45 minute meal, you aren't providing a "tip-able" service.

I've got news for you. The norm is moving closer to 25% now.
