I carry my money in my hand going through the scanner. I'm not putting my cash anywhere.

I use credit? I have had $600 on me maybe 3 days in the past 5 years.
TSA wants you to empty your pockets so you don't set off the metal detector. If you have cash you can keep that in your pocket...

I think the detectors pick up the bands in bills but you need so many
Seems between 5K and 10K in 100's does it but fewer bands and all is good

I had this fear traveling to Vegas.
I brought no cash with me. I paid 9.99 to use an ATM. My fear was winning some money and flying back with it. After the 9.99 ATM fee, I found out that Chase has branches in the Vegas area, so I drove to branch and got more money there since I have an account with them. If I won anything, I was going to deposit it at Chase branch before flying back.
Luckily for me, I didn’t win anything and didn’t need to deposit cash there to fly back.
I even hit up the slots at the airport while waiting on my flight.

The full body scanner things allow you to hold your wallet in your hand. Just empty your pockets. At least in my experience.
