Used to be a decent little restaurant off Exchequer we’d hit for breakfast and lunch.
Sammy D’agostinos old Place.
I used to buy bait where the strip mail that has the Jasons Deli is at now. It was a little dirt road in the middle of the pasture and sold crickets/worms.

My dad used to eat at Sammy's almost every day. They'd drink after he closed.

Love how WAFB reported what the suspects were wearing, but not a description of the suspects. What a joke.

Word on the street is this was a hit. It was retribution for the ihop victims robbing a trap house and killing someone in NBR

It seemed pretty targeted and personal.

We lived in Central when I was growing up but my mom lived off of Siegen starting around 1989 or so. It was a quiet little area. It's busy af now. That's pretty ballsy to try and whack someone in the middle of the day.
Nah - that's not ballsy - Ballsy would be knowing you had a 50/50 chance of being caught, tried, convicted and sentenced to prison for life - since the shooters know the odds of any of that happening that's not really ballsy

this seemed pretty obvious, they knew where they worked and when/where they took breaks.
also, the news said the injured guy drove himself to the hospital? or tried to?

Pretty fricking brazen though and actually really stupid on the assassins part. They left all sorts of evidence that torching the car was really worthless
A social media friend posted a pic of the car on a public forum. They actually dumped it right in front of his house. I'll see if I can get it posted here. Apparently the dudes jumped his fence getting away

I bet Sammy was drinking gin out of a styrofoam cup. I really respected that man. He was a good guy.

I’m sure it was. I have a one legged friend named Ilene and that IHOP is her favorite restaurant.

I’d imagine there are some Ring doorbells, and security cameras in the neighborhood that they were caught on.

?
In the wafb video, the spokesperson for the Sheriff's Department said that the suspects are two black males.

First degree murder, attempted first degree murder, arson, a stolen car, and the list goes on and on.
When the perp torched the car in that neighborhood there’s a strong likelihood the shooter is caught on a doorbell cam or surveillance footage.

It seems like there would be a lot of cameras around IHOP too. It's crazy that they got away.

If this homicide occurred around noon on a Tuesday, you know that drive-thru line at Whataburger was wrapped around the corner with plenty of eyewitnesses.

I'm surprised they didn't get caught in traffic at that time of day
