re: If Zulu is supposed to start at 6:30, sunrise is at 6:22, and there is a moderate wind…

Is Zulu over yet and Rex going on?
I got the Zulu stream on. They're on float 34 on this stream towards end of route.
EDIT - Actually no this stream is in a totally different spot than I thought. So nevermind. I THINK this is still towards end of route though.
Hosts said it is nice and the sun has started coming out. Slight breeze, but nothing crazy.

Wonder if there was a run on Depends in the city.

Zulu appears to actually be on schedule. They’re already on poydras and wrapping up at the dome.

Waiting for Cat's Meow to open. Then the real fun starts.

Rex-Comus meeting of the courts is my Mardi Gras Super Bowl.

A threat of high winds has forced the City of New Orleans to remove Porta Potties from the parade route. NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick is asking everyone to use the bathroom before the parades begin.
Wouldn't a porta potty be low-weighted, kinda like a weeble, at worst?

i mean, can they be tied/weighted down? Not like this weather threat appeared out of nowhere. Thousands of people on the streets and no place to piss?
NOLA leadership, folks.

At least they let the parades roll.
No reason Metairie couldn't have let Argus go and started earlier.

She claims yesterday there wasn’t enough time to tie them down…. She’s pretty incompetent but I’m not surprised. The whole city will be full of piss and crap all over the area. Not much different than normal though I guess

Solid advice.

Today was a success. Got to the quarter around 7. Got home at 1130. Not traffic issues and parking was a breeze.
Hope you all have a blessed Lent.

Passed one set of portapotties in the way home. In the set of 5, one had already tipped. Could get ugly out there.

By far the best group costumes I saw at St. Ann. I was confused. It was hilarious with men and women dressed as Ann. But at the same time, I knew those bitches were likely squirrely and could whoop my arse. I kept my distance.
