6:00 on a weekday isn’t a problem. You should be up and getting dressed if you are a working person on a normal schedule.

Im poor, work from home, and cut my grass early in the morning on Saturday.

Am I the ultimate a-hole?

I can start at 8 but usually start at 9 because I am respectful of my neighbors. If I hear a mower or power yard tool crank up before 9a, I may jump in though.

Also don’t mow between 8:00 and 5:00 on weekdays. Too many of us wfh and don’t need machine noise in the background of our calls.

My neighbors' lawn people don't bother me nearly as much as my own. Those suckers never fail to come right in the middle of a Teams call.

I'm in an 80 year old home with the original wood windows (and lots of them), so it's loud as hell.

One New Years Eve a few years ago, we went to bed at midnight like normal people do....well my neighbors a few house down decided to blow up fireworks till 4 am in the street.....sooooooo...I got up around 0800 and went outside with my gas blower and blew all their trash they left behind into their yard and I made sure I had the blower on full blast so they could here it..

They ended up moving a few months later

That is exactly what I said, isn't it?

What did I say? I can't remember. Go look, that should tell you what my thesis was, assuming you have basic reading comprehension.

2 miles is pretty far. I don't hear people mowing 1 mile away, much less 2.

I dont know what my neighbors do during the day because I am at work. But I do have a neighbor behind me who will run a blower every Saturday for about 3 hours. Not kidding or exaggerating. I dont know what the hell he is doing but it lasts forever. Usually from 1pm - 4 or so.

Dude will sometimes do it in the rain. WTF?

I can mow my entire yard, weedeat, edge, blow everything off in about 1.5 hours. We have similar sized lots.

Nope. Although I don’t think it’s nearly as bad as you and the other hive minded folks think it is.

eta: not sure what your response to my post has to do with your original op. lol

“Normal” is 9-5. How the frick long does it take you to get ready and commute if you feel like you “should” be up 3 hours early?

For me, normal is typically 7:00 to about 6:00 pm. I don't punch a clock.
