Noon
Sorry, I see no logical way this is correct. Please explain.
Regardless, by convention in industry to today forward=earlier, back=later, whether the units are minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years.

Forward by 2 hours = 8 am in this instance
Posted on 5/9/22 at 1:10 pm to dyslexiateechur
Postpone it for two hours to noon.
Posted on 5/9/22 at 1:11 pm to dyslexiateechur
Anyone who says "I'm moving a meeting forward 2 hours" should be immediately punched in the dick/vag. It an incredibly stupid way to say that. All it does is guarantee confusion.

Fail in the ‘effective communication’ arena

Who ever used the term forward is in the wrong regardless, for being shite at communication.

But I can see the argument the other way.

Forward = Sooner = 8 am
Posted on 5/9/22 at 1:14 pm to dyslexiateechur
You are in the wrong. It is 8, but why in the world would you say it that way anyways?
Posted on 5/9/22 at 1:14 pm to dyslexiateechur
Just eliminate that word from your vocabulary when talking about meetings. You either say we’re going to extend the meeting out or move it to an earlier time slot.

Fixed.
We are talking about time. Moving up/forward means it happens sooner. Moving back means it happens later.
GET WITH THE DAMN PROGRAM.

8am is the only answer.
All the people saying ‘Noon’ explains a lot about our country actually.. how could any sentient being think that ‘forward’ actually means back in time 2 hrs, which is what 12 noon would be if the original meeting was at 10am ?

move it forward is progression in time, so noon.
edit: in movies when people time travel to the past, do they go "back" in time or "forward" in time?

This should be a litmus test on a job interview.
Anyone that answers noon to this question should be immediately disqualified from being hired unless it is legitimately the first time in their life they have been on a schedule and they are being hired as entry level/intern. If during their employment and after training on what moving something forward/up or back means and they fail to make the connection and miss meetings, this would be grounds for dismissal. It is that basic and shows lack of fitness for any position with any responsibility and/or accountability.

forward and backward are opposites. If someone is talking about a 10am meeting and says "sorry I have to move this back 2 hours", there is zero confusion and it's universally understood that the meeting is at noon. Therefore moving it "forward" has to be 8am.
Posted on 5/9/22 at 1:17 pm to bigpetedatiga
What business are you in where someone says they will move a meeting forward and take that as moving it further back in time?

or we could blame the dumbass for using the word "forward" in the first place...
