Port Barre. Jalepeno cheese bread, boudin...Bourque's has a hell of a selection on meat.

The locals aren't that bad that I couldn't tolerate a year. Plus, enough bayous close by that you could hunt and fish within walking distance (good bit of walking, but still).

Port Arthur in Tasmania would be my choice.

Port Allen, easily.

Port Allen. I have coworkers who'd take pity on me & pick me up on their way into BR.

Used to tear it up in Port Allen as a youngster. Could do worse.
