I'd say MDX is roughly 10k less than all the rest. But it shows. MDX doesn't even come with a spare tire...
MDX base on the lowest package is $44k
Infiniti QX60 base is $43k
Volvo XC90 base is just under $46k
Audi Q7 base is $49k

The answer to questions like this should always be "The Chevy".

That XC90 at 46 is not the 3 row version

We have a Q7 and it's awesome. We would have bought a lexus but couldn't get past the front Darth Vader styling.

Depends on if you want a crossover or SUV.....the only true body on frame one is the Lexus GX, which is sold as the Landcruiser PRADO in other countries. It's not the fastest, smoothest or best looking of the bunch....BUT probably the BEST if you want an incredibly reliable, luxurious 3rd row SUV that is a legit off roader. We have a grey '14 GX in our Fam & we love it. As far as the others...Volvo on looks alone, Acura MDX is great all around crossover & the Q7 looks like a weird tall wagon....prob unreliable as hell like most Audi's.

Outbacks are far from a piece of shite.
Agreed.
Get a fully loaded Outback and pocket the extra $20k+.

We just bought an XC60, and the options get crazy pricey. They say start at $41k, but the as-tested version is $62k...and that's the 90's little brother.

I loved my GX460 until a tree fell on it yesterday...quite possibly going back to a new one with captain chairs instead of the bench middle row.

Good gawd....hopefully you weren't in it at the time. What kind of damage?

Why though? That thing is way too narrow for captains chairs - it's the same width as an RX350. You're just voluntarily giving up some utility.

I don't think the Lexus SUV has captain chair.
My mistake was thinking abt the Mercedes-Benz SUV that doesn't.

This is the only answer. GX is the only SUV listed among 3 crossovers.
I am sure I know this answer, but I assume you never plan to tow ANYTHING, right?

The Lexus GX460. It's the most reliable and the most off-road capable. The rest of those are faggy crossovers a/k/a cars with lift kits.
I have a GX460 and love it. It has the Landcruiser chassis with a ton of luxury items that makes it enjoyable for long drives. I don't think I will ever have another vehicle without AC ventilated seats. Works wonders in these Mississippi summers.
