I'm saying pay off the house, cars, etc. Go work minimum wage somewhere and go home not stressed out and/or pissed off everyday.
Working a minimum wage job wouldn't pay enough to live the lifestyle I want, even without debt.
And working with others who make minimum wage and don't give a shite about their job would not help my stress level.

I wouldn’t quit but it would make work a hell of a lot better.

I paid off everything years ago, but guess what, it still takes a lot of money to live. Just property tax and insurance on home alone costs many thousands, not to mention health & auto insurance. Health insurance is the only thing keeping me working right now. If not for that, I'd be off fish g or laying on a beach somewhere.

No because I like my work and make good money. If I won the lottery or something then yea but just enough to pay off debt? Nah. I'm only 26 and I'll need to incur more debt in the future because my truck and ski boat won't last forever. Plus I need money to enjoy life, travel, and such.

Even if I had no debt at all, living off a gross monthly income of $1257 per month at minimum wage isn't exactly the type of life I want to live.

There's a thought.

No, I think men need to have work. It gives them purpose.
My parents do well and my dad did well in business so he retired at 57. He bought cars, traveled with my mom, remodeled their whole house, got new hobbies and did a bunch of stuff that seems like it would be enjoyable and occupy time.
All of that was in two years time. Now he's ready to go back to work. It's strange to me. But you hear it all the time.

Nope. I would be able to rethink how I approach the rest of my life financially while traveling more

Nah, my job allows me to travel and I actually enjoy it.

No. But I'd quit stressing as much as I do at work.
When the state lottery began many years ago I asked a coworker in his forties if he would quit his job if he won. He paused, and stared into space for a minute and said “probably not, but I wouldn’t take any shite from anyone.”

I've had it with this shite.
Get a job you like then.
I don't understand why people do shite they don't enjoy. Life is too short to spend 60k to 80k hours of your life doing something you aren't happy doing, whatever the reason may be.
As for question, no. Enough money to pay off my debts does not mean I can quit my job.

I'm tired of this dirty old city
And tired of too much work
And never enough play
And I'm tired of these dirty old sidewalks
Think I'll walk off my steady job today
Turn me loose, set me free
Somewhere in the middle of Montana
And give me all I've got coming to me
And keep your retirement
And your so-called Social Security
Big city turn me loose and set me free
Been working everyday since I was twenty
Haven't got a thing to show
For anything I've done
There's folks who never work and they've got plenty
Think it's time some guys like me had some fun, so
Turn me loose, set me free
Somewhere in the middle of Montana
And give me all I've got coming to me
And keep your retirement
And your so-called Social Security

No but I'd reduce my hours

No, I have too many expensive hobbies
Posted on 12/21/17 at 4:16 pm to Triple Bogey
No, I may take another job doing something that I like more but I wouldn't quit working because I have no debt, if you have no income, eventually you will have debt again.

I'd pay off my debts and get a job that afforded me more time and less hassle....still need $ to do other stuff.
