There are certain bands and artists whose music I don't care for but I can still respect it, but Taylor Swift's music has absolutely 0 soul. It's mindless grocery store background music, and the fact that she's as popular as she is is a testament to the dumbing down and blandness of our current society.

Taylor Swift is among the most successful pop artists ever. That is not subjective.
"She's not interesting as an artist." What does this even mean? She should buy a dictionary. She clearly has no idea what interesting means.
Love comes off like an idiot. This is like Manziel criticizing Brady as a professional quarterback.

Teens/tweens, especially girls, have always latched on to artists like this. Tay Tay is not an indictment on society's tastes in music, just the most current example of it.

I don’t know, doesn’t this describe most music aimed at the female age 12-25 demographic for decades? I’m sure we could quibble but it seems so overall.
