something obscure from the 40's or 50's and then sit on it.

My Mustang I sold in 1999 is now worth $40-50k when I sold it then for $6500. So I wish I had at least sat on it longer.

Porsche 911 Carrera 4S. Last year I bought a black 911 Carrera S and now I know why anyone would want to waste that kind of money on a car.

Of course, I like driving fast and pissing my wife off and that car allows me to do both simultaneously. Would prefer the 4S but would still get black on black. It is just a different experience to drive and maybe the first vehicle in my life (I buy a lot of vehicles) that I like more and more as the days go by.

I would also probably test drive an Audi R8.

A $100k R8 would have to be pretty old, no?

Although classic cars aren't my thing, I can respect the guys that are saying they would buy a 1960s model and put a shite ton of money into restoring it.

However, the guys saying they would buy a Honda Civic and invest the rest should just GTFO of the thread

I honestly can't think of a vehicle I'd ever spend $100k on unless it was an RV or something

If you knew what you were doing, some cars at the auction are investments. About 8 years ago you could have bought an 87 grand national low miles for around 40-50k, now that car is fetching 85k+.

I know it's tired but I'd spend about $40k on a car, $20k on travel, $10k on a new bike, $10k on random shite my wife wants and $20k to get my backyard the way I want it.

No, no you wouldn't.

Hard to say. New R8 will be $160,000-$200,000 so I suspect you could get a 2-3 year old R8 with low miles for $90,000-$100,000.

I love the classic cars, but I've just never wanted one for some reason. I like all the features on newer cars and the handling/acceleration of the 911. Never been in an Audi but the R8 is interesting.

They just opened a Maclaren dealer here in Houston a year or so ago and I've been tempted to go by and look at them as well.

Why would I downgrade? I guess I could use the 100k car for a daily cruiser so I don't beat up my nice car.

At the rate truck prices are going. The only thing a 100k gift card would buy is an f150.

Probably a Saleen S7 or Ford GT40(the new one). So many options, porsche 911, new corvette.

I know here think its a trashy car, but I love the styling of the new mustangs so maybe a new shelby, saleen, rousch mustang.

just checked.... 100k will get you a 2014 v8 or if you wanted the v10 gotta go with a 2011 model.... id probably opt for the 2014.

100k also can get you into a 2014 aston martin v8 vantage.

decisions decisions......

Yea. But then you'd have a Jeep. Early Bronco > CJ.

ETA: And I hope the prices of Broncos continue to rise.
