this is one thing that has stuck out to me since JBE press conference yesterday. they want anybody and everybody to go get tested, however he says that if you get tested, even if you test negative, you still need to quarantine for 14 days. just curious.

The fact that anybody would blindly follow government guidelines when they’ve fricked this whole thing up worse than a soup sandwich is fricking maddening.

No.

I'm not in Louisiana, but when I got tested as a precaution because I had some symptoms, it was negative and I went back to work on Monday.

Quarantining for 14 days after a negative test is going full retard.

Would if it was an option. Any minuscule thing you can do to mitigate spread helps in the grand scheme of things. Hopefully the overly careful at least put a dent in the careless.

This in itself is fricking stupid. JBE is just throwing out a big net hoping to find cases and keep shite shut down.

On day 9 of my quarantine now after coming in contact with someone that tested positive. Here in MS I can’t find anyone to test me without symptoms. I am fine but the wife is being a horses arse about this crap. If everyone has to do this every time we come in possible contact with the virus we should just all pack it up throw deuces in the air and watch the world burn.

It’s just silly how unpopular here it is to take sensible precautions. Our state shows its arse.

My wife tested positive yesterday on a rapid test, so the Dr. told her I needed to come in to be tested. I don't have any symptoms whatsoever, and she's only had a slight headache and some sinus pain. I tested negative. Obviously with my wife having it, I've got to quarantine along with her.

Dr. told me I either already had it, got a false negative test result, or just won't get it at all. We'll see what happens...

As long as the test was conducted 4-5 days after exposure, that is dumb. It is taking 7-10 days (I’ve personally know of one person waiting 12 days) for many to get their test results back. You might hit 14 days before you get the results back.

Did y’all make out? Did they rub their snotty nose all over you? Or were you just in the presence?

Quarantining for 14 days after a negative test isn't a sensible precaution.

Just don’t go. Do you think people in California should be telling people in Louisiana how they should run their government? If this is what people in New York want I’m not going to tell them any different. If it’s not what they want they can deal with it during the next election.

The big problem is how long it's taking to get test results back. Where I live it's taking 6-8 days with long lines already, so there's no guarantee you can even get in. If you test negative, I don't see a need to quarantine, but considering how long it takes to find out if you are or not, it all amounts to the same thing.
