re: If you don't stand outside and look at your lawn after you cut it, does it even count?

I take a good look at my lawn every morning around 6:15
Cut it every 1-3 days to keep it looking fresh.

When I mow my yard I prefer a Dr. Pepper at the end

You sound like my neighbor, but he doesn't have the prettiest yard in the neighborhood. I do.

I am very critical of how my lawn looks. I may have to work at it to mow, when it is done - i am beyond fricking proud of how it looks.

Sure I do, After my lawn guy finishes I revel at the fruits of what my hard earned labor has provided me. I appreciate his labor and salute him with a nice burbon.

I usually get home from work and see that my lawn guy came earlier that day. I stop for a second, think “hey, the lawn guy came today. Good, it needed it.” And that’s that.

If you don’t have a battery powered push these days you are a cuck to gasoline. Had mine for 3 years never paid anything other than what I bought it for.
No carburetor issues or any other shite, no paying for gas. I sit back and enjoy my fresh lawnly paradise every Friday afternoon

Human powered reel cutter is the way to go. Can be a real bear if you’re down to one inch and miss a few days though.
That smell is a rotary blade massacring your grass.

I took over yard cutting duties from my Dad when I was 10. Push mowed every yard I cut til last year. Turned 50 and said frick this. 40 years of push mowing yards in 100 degree heat is enough. Bought me riding mower and haven’t been happier. Still have the best lawn in my neighborhood. I take great pride in that shite and don’t think a riding mower takes away from that in the least.
I have a very mature and tall 8 year old that cut our yard last weekend for the first time ever. I let him cut it again yesterday and boy does it look like shite. He has alot to learn but he enjoys the hell out of it.

It’s hard to watch em do it too.

There’s something about cutting grass when the heat index is 105 or higher that is good for the body. Just don’t forget to replenish all the water and essential nutrients that you sweated out.

Why would I need to stare at my lawn?
Posted on 7/15/24 at 5:13 am to kywildcatfanone
Its what men do, don’t worry about it.

I haven't had to cut grass in going on a month. That shite is dead. Well, at least until it finally rains.
Not in SELA, I hadn’t cut mine in at least a week and a half. I didn’t realize one side of my deck wasn’t leveling properly so one side got a buzz cut while the other side was cut normal.

So I had to cut twice to level it off and I went back later in the afternoon just pass the mower again to spread out the clippings to prevent dead spots.

Depends on the size of your lawn and type of grass if a reel mower works for you.
If you live in DSLD subdivision where the houses are so close together where if you fart in your house and the neighbors can smell it in their house, a reel mower may work for you since your yard is about the size of a preverbal postage stamp.
Also, grass type plays a part. The thick St. Augustine in my yard would laugh at a reel mower and would clog up with ease.

I feel sad for the cucks that pay someone to come cut their yard.
My neighbor has three boys and pays someone to cut his grass. Despicable.

I plan on tackling this endeavor today with a push mower at about 1pm and 97 degrees. My yard is so beautiful once mowed backed up by the patch of woods that lets me think im still in the country even though in Jax .
Here's to all the guys that are still push mowing in the heat.

When I finish my lab sits in the front yard admiring his freshly mown toilet.
Actually he does his business in the back 2 acres and not the actual yard. But he loves to roll in the fresh cut grass.
