A photo album and journal depicting my ancestors that were all... exterminated... back in Poland during the holocaust.

My grandpa was the only one that made it to America and his brother became the top general and eventually the president of Poland in the 70s, but they were the only two out of dozens that survived. Before WWII my last name was very common in Poland, now it's a rare, uncommon name.

I'd love to know the rest of my family that existed and see what they looked like, and know their stories so they could live on through me.

Instead they got wiped off the face of the earth and forgotten like they never existed, and to me that is the saddest thing that can happen to any human

The no practical function takes out a lot of items like guitars, swords etc.

You can have those as long as they are only displayed and not used for a practical purpose.

The guitar Jimi Hendrix used at Woodstock? Yes.
An expensive guitar to play in your garage? No.

Some ancient samurai sword for the mantle? Yes.
Some sword to use on your upcoming killing spree? No.

It has to be an object you can physically hold. No cars, etc.

4. You do not have to worry about anyone stealing it no matter how famous or valuable it is.

Already married so no thanks.

I think a lot of objects we could think of with a morbid history would go for a lot if auctioned.

Abraham Zapruder's camera, Oswald's rifle, Zodiac's letters, Bonnie and Clyde car, Lincoln's Ford's Theater chair, among countless other things.

A hand-held device that blocks out cell phone signals anywhere within a 10 mile radius of my location.

That way I won't be behind a thoughtless moron in line at the grocery store who is trying to pay while deep in conversation.

When the light turns green I won't be waiting for an idiot to look up from their phone before realizing that they could've gone a minute ago.

I won't have to be privy to some jackass's intense rambling that resonates throughout the lobby of the doctor's office anymore.

While at work, when a group of us are just relaxing and engaging in meaningless banter we won't be shown up by the genius who googles all parts of the conversation and calls you out with facts they just read, thus seeing themselves as a superior intellect.

I won't be behind a swerving vehicle that is constantly hitting the brakes and then speeding up over and over...pretty much resembling a drunk driver, because the brain-dead driver is texting his or her compadres.

THAT IS ALL!

There are a lot of things that had a purpose at some point in time but don't anymore. Lee Harvey Oswald's rifle had a purpose on 11/22/63 but wouldn't if it were sitting in my house.

I could to this day use Lee Harvey Oswald’s rifle to kill someone, so no that has a practical purpose. Let me reemphasize this: you’re an idiot.

The superstitions surround the Hope Diamond: some are just stories, but lots of bankruptcies.
The curse of the Hope Diamond.
