If US doesn’t count, I’d have to pick someplace relatively close to visit family and friends. Also needs to be in similar time zone as the sports I follow. So I’d say a Caribbean island with direct flights to NOLA.

OP hasn't stated what he's dissatisfied with about the US, but the usual complaints on this site revolve around some combination of taxes, gun control, socialized medicine, etc. Most of the countries mentioned as alternatives in this thread have all that in spades.
