Southern Colorado - wouldn’t be everyone’s choice but I have my reasons.

Around Lake Guntersville or North Georgia. Not to far from the beach and my family in South LA but don't have to worry about Hurricanes.

Spent a week in Whitefish Montana about 7 months ago and I would live there in a heartbeat if it wasn’t for my wife not being able to stand the frigid cold.

Place was absolutely gorgeous

Did we really make it 4 pages with no Bawcomville? Or am I trippin'?

Also, the people who have mentioned North County San Diego, La Jolla and Coronado - I would certainly have to agree with. I could understand someone not wanting to be in San Diego city, but those other 3 choices are hard to beat. I'm obviously a little biased now, but it's really hard for me to come up with many negatives about them.

I never planned on staying in San Diego. I came out here and absolutely fell in love with it. It also doesn't hurt that SD is a huge player in my profession, so the jobs are pretty plentiful. That's taken the sting off some.

I absolutely love San Diego also.

But I agree with whoever said 5 to 10 acres within 2 hours of a city. I have discovered I love small town/rural life but want to be able to drive to city amenities.

We're already doing it. It's NW Montana.

Just need to convince my wife that we don't need to head to Florida when it gets cold.

2 hrs from a city seems like a bit much if you enjoy city amenities. If I'm living that rural I'm raising chickens, cows and a garden. I'm not driving 4 hrs to go eat TexMex

I think Temecula may be that type of area for me.

I've been thinking about moving there. I absolutely love that little town and it's only about 45 mins from SD.

You’re not living comfortably in Lake Tahoe at $200k/year

Not to mention the 4 hour drive back after eating TexMex. That'd be rough.

I'm a smaller city/town guy. I could absolutely live in Boone, NC or someplace like that. Even 10-15 miles outside of town.
