I’ve never been to the 80s.

But what if you hadn't seen Back to the Future 2?

I grew up in the 80’s. Graduated HS in 84 and LSU in 88. It was a glorious time to be alive. Life was fun and very simple.

I was in my 30s in the 80s and had a blast. I'd do it again for a weekend (not sure my heart could do more than that).

Iona, I'd love to take you to the Fish in Breaux Bridge back in around 88.

I'm thinking we would have a pretty good time, Rebel.

I grew up in the 80s, and there were a number of us that thought that it would have been easier, better, funner to grow up in the 50s.
Were there good times in the 80's? Sure. Were there tough times, or things that would seem tough today? Sure.
Not having grown up the Internet Age, I am not sure how it would affect my formibale years of my life.
One example about the 80s. Over the years we had a statewide church camp I'd go to, and we would meet girls from all over the state. Once the week was over, we all went back home, and it was basically impossible to continue on any started relationship. All we could do is mail a letter to each other.
Had we had texting and Facebook, etc. perhaps I could have developed a relationship that way better.

Roger, you ever get a 42 oz daiquiri from Tribal Spirits, then over to Siesta for a few pitchers, and then off to Bobby Sox to slay a cougar?

Gotta say I'm unfamiliar with that routine. I was a Shreveport Square kind of guy with a little Cowboys thrown in
