Would it get frustrating at times not speaking the native to be language of the country while living there full time?

This happens in the US at times. The fact is the majority of all populations in Europe speak English.

Why not all.
Stay 3 months and each then decide.
Montenegro, Portugal, Malta, Isle of Man, Ireland, Bulgaria, maybe country side of Italy, spain, or France.

I’m
Going to Ukraine when the war is over. I got a feeling that the male to female ratio is gonna be pretty good after a few years of war.

Mallorca Spain. Already has tons of expats from United States, England, South Africa, and Australia. Portugal is another option. Monaco if you have the Net Worth to qualify for citizenship. I’d consider Ireland if they would disavow England but that will never happen. I’ve heard Scotland is easy for expats to gain citizenship but that would be far down my list. It’s a welfare state mostly.

We intend to retire to Tuscany. Been there a few times and hate going back to America afterwards… combo of great food/wine, history, architecture, landscapes, and people in Tuscany is very hard to beat ino.

You can tell all the people that either haven't been to Europe or haven't been in 2 decades. And others that are relying on word of mouth

Look up gun laws in Switzerland. Your automatic weapons are illegal. Large mags are illegal. If you want to bring it out in public, it requires a separate and special permit that is only for those with proven need, like police, private security, or defence. You have to take a test. For non-swiss, there even another permit

All that said. UK or Ireland

I have been to most of the best countries in Europe and around the world, and no country is close to the United States in terms of how much fun, adventure, scenery, and entertainment there is here.

If you had to choose a country to live in and could not leave it (not for vacation, anything) you would be fool to choose any other country. The only exception would be if you’re some average guy who wants to live like a king in SE Asia or someplace. But if you have means, the USA is by far the best.

Run me through how the USA is better than Italy? Maybe on healthcare and marginal tax rates but that’s about it.

Yes, less crime, better food, better healthcare, and more centralized communities.

I just got back and I liked that it was clean, but that humidity is worse than I remember in Louisiana.
