you can still do it if you really, really want it. guys play pro golf until they're 65.

Nuclear Medicine. All you do is inject someone with a radioactive isotope, wait 30 mins, and then take a picture of the area the Dr ordered the scan for.....brain, heart, etc.

I know more than a few people in it and none scored very high on the SATs, and it's not even about the pay ~75k avg nationally(damn decent)....but can go 100k easy in major markets....it's about the CALL.

My GF works part-time at one place 3 days/week $58/hour....and then works Call 2 more days(Sat/Sun) at $35/hour...$70/hr if she gets called in.

She can go a whole month and not get called in and when she does it's for a couple hours but she gets the min 4 hours. Her Call time is 10 hours @ $35/hour.

She could theortically take all call 6pm-10pm M-F and S-Sun 9-7pm....making a min of $72k for never going to work.

I'm inclined to go back to school for the oppurtunity to take this because NO ONE wants call...they want to "live life" "family"....frick I'll live before 6pm and after 10pm, and she can find another bf.

Their boss had to force people to take call because no one would sign up for free money.

The bad thing about pharmacy is one with two years experience doesnt make much less than one with 20 years. It's still a good salary though.

I'd go to law school if I could go back. Don't know if I'd practice but it's a good degree to have.

While I understand where you're coming from, wouldn't it get a little redundant and boring after a whole considering you have to practice pretty much all day every day to get to that level?

As opposed to how redundant and boring your current job can get? No, not at all. And you don't travel from one beautiful golf course to another (weekend to weekend) in your current job.

In theory, yes. But with a wife and 3 young kids I would probably have to choose between them and golf. That choice is easy for me.

I dressed up to respond to this thread.

Have we started yet?

I'd like to supervise a scaffolding crew.

I have a friend who is a pharmacist in McAllen TX. Makes 200 a year based on his contract. But he hates it and quit to travel. When he's out of money, he comes back. Kind of sad to hate a job that much.

I work as a healthcare IT consultant, mainly for the flexibility and pay. If I were to work a job for enjoyment it would probably focus around food, wine, or traveling.
