Mom, all of the tissues beside my bed were from my runny cawk, not my runny nose.
In retrospect, I'm pretty sure she already knows.

Never lied to my parents. To this day I tell the truth and give no fricks about their approval.

I'd tell him the chick he chased off with a shovel in the back yard when they came home early unexpectedly was actually just running out bc we were in the middle of hooking up when they came home. And I'd also tell him that he needs to stop eating so damn fast bc I never got another chance with her. In hindsight I probably should have came forward when he grabbed the shovel but I was a teenager and froze up. Glad she got away.

You have no idea the amount of times I drove my car absolutely shite faced. Or how much pot I smoked. Like a lot.

Your dad chased off a girl with a shovel?
Your dad mad you aren't gay?

What kind of grown arse man takes a shovel after a teen female?
Your family suffer from mental problems?

That's brilliant

I wasn't doing anything they hadn't...

All the stories have pretty much come out over the last 12 years anyway. I can't think of anything they haven't heard yet. My dad always laughs and my mom just shakes her head

My parents caught me doing just about everything; so aside from letting them know I did harder drugs than they know, which they probably suspect, I'm fine.

Your dad was hiding them from your mom, not you!

I'm 56 and my dad is 84. I've never told him that is was me that broke his fishing rod the summer after my freshman year in high school, not the movers.
He bought it in Hawaii when he was in the Army during the Korean War. It was some kind of really light wood. It broke down into two pieces and he had e kept it in a cylindrical storage bag with a shoulder strap. I borrowed it, sat on it after cranking the motor on my boat and stuck it back in the bag. We moved before that summer was over. To this day he thinks the movers broke it.
Thanks for the opportunity to kind of get this off my chest. Still not going to tell him about it. He had told me not to come home if anything happened to it.

Everything I admitted to my mother, she already knew.

About that rifle scope reticle that somehow broke. I was fricking around with it and unscrewed the lens and then touched the reticle, just a little but, just out of curiosity. Turns out they are not very sturdy.
