I may be the idiot here but I'm pretty sure what you want isn't going to affect the price so it really doesn't matter to me. All I can say is that if you want cheaper gas use less of it to reduce demand.

Not sure if its been mentioned, but something about the refineries causing gas to go up 20-30 cents the last couple days.

So the milk trucks come from the farms daily. All milk is put into silos. From there the milk is separated from the fat (cream) to make skim milk. There, the skim is mixed with "whole" milk( milk from the cow, typically roughly 4% fat) to make your 1%, 2%, 3.25% (whole). Then it is bottled. All they do is change labels. Same damn milk.

But you have a choice with milk. Walmart sells Kleinpeter for $6.94 gallon yet Walgreens 1 mile down the street sells Browns whole milk for $3.89 gallon. You don't see differences like that with gas prices.

So true. For the milk drinkers on here, like myself, browns tastes like sour shite even comparing it to leblancs of Ralph's. I would do without if that's all that was left on shelves.

Paid $4.08/gallon of regular unleaded in Aspen,CO yesterday. I felt violated.
Had to reload the rental car and timed the empty tank very poorly.

It's no conspiracy. Any retail outlet of any kind has to sell its product based on replacement cost. If you sell the product from the tank under your station at $2.20 / gallon when you only paid $2 / gallon, yet the refill will cost $2.20 per gallon, then you have no operating cash. You've made a profit on paper, but don't have cash to do anything other than fill the tank back up. Every retail business contends with this.
The larger difference is in the margins on gasoline versus other retail products. Most retail businesses double the wholesale price to determine the retail price. Gasoline filling stations markup wholesale prices just a couple of percent. Because of that they are far more sensitive to wholesale price increases.
