If oil is at a 6 year low why is gas not under $2 like it was just over a year ago?

There is a direct inverse dis-proportion of truck nuts to oil price per barrel.

Because oil is traded in futures. Price of crude has to be low for quite awhile before it reflects at the pump.

I am amazed at how cheap gas is relative to other liquids. I mean I just spent $6.50 on a gallon of milk ... And thiat comes from a cow
