I’d imagine the governor would declare a state of emergency and get federal funding and send in national guard and on a Federal level send in Federal Marshalls / homeland security officers. Would be a no nonsense policing, similar to after a big hurricane.
Law abiding citizens open carrying quick to stop criminals .

Based on the doj going after the Louisville cops today, I think the amount of cops nationwide is going to get far worse off. They can’t do their jobs and go after bad people without being condemned for doing their jobs.

This has already happened for all practical purposes. There is no police force out there maintaining order or preventing crime. The NOPD is so lightly staffed that all they can do is respond to stuff after it has happened. And even that won’t be done timely. Make no mistake, you are on your own when in New Orleans.
