If Guns were banned would people lose weight?

I was thinking about the time before guns, when you had a sword fight and shite, you had to be athletic enough to fight.
Now we have easy access guns, people feel confident in their ability to fight if they had to.
That “at ease” type comfort allows oneself the ability to let oneself go.
Are guns a contributory or even the Freakonomics reason the US is fat?

I don't know anyone off the top of my head that eats their guns, so no.

No.
Food, especially unhealthy food, is easily accessible. Plus we have cars and elevators and other devices so we have to move around even less than before.

Still have cheap processed/fast food. The proliferation of that led to a lot of weight gain in the country.

What if all the guns turned into butter?

I dunno - guns are pretty good for cardio

No. People would get fatter. In the country they wouldn't get exercise walking through the woods. In the city they wouldn't get exercise running away from gunshots.

No, my doctor's office is in a gun free zone, so I never have my gun on me when I'm getting weighed.

Son, I'm going to tell you this one time and one time only. If you want to keep working here, stay off the drugs.

The US consumes 126.4 grams of sugar a day, largely from processed foods. The next closest country consumes 102 grams per day. So we may not be the only country, but we consume 21% more than the next closest country.

When I comes to pulling a gun out to defend myself with, it’s not a show of manhood. It’s a last line of fricking defense. I’m not trying to impress you. I’m trying to survive it.
What’s wrong with you people?
I mean really. What happened?
