You don’t think younger candidates would do the same thing. But I agree with you
they would and do the same thing. we have enough Dan Crenshaws, Will Hurds, AOCs, etc. on record to prove they would.
i can name on one hand the amount of people i can kinda respect in DC (on either side of the aisle)

Everyone COULD go withdraw whatever cash they have in the bank at the same time.
That would get the party started.

Andrew state? For real, dude?
Posted on 9/6/23 at 5:04 pm to BayouBengal23
No.
Most of the angriest, loudest, most aggrieved people (on here) drive new trucks, take multiple vacations each year, and live in decent houses in the suburbs. They're not about to burn anything down, figuratively or literally.

J6 was a bunch of people laughing & playing fraternity pranks. They're being treated worse than Jihadists.
The only thing that might possibly inspire some sort of mass reaction would be confiscating guns. But even there I have my doubts.

You guys can cancel something else that you absolutely love. First it was bud light, now it sounds like nascar maybe? Good job it’s working

Why don't any of y'all run for office? Instead of bitching and moaning? All the while watching the same news channels on a 30 minute loop.

Americans keep voting for it though

Nobody will get elected that doesn't promise shite and "feelz" to suburban women.
I agree, wrong board.

The only people that song resonated with were minorities, immigrants, white conservatives, none of those people know how to make changes, no matter how good the intentions are.

State or local level? Yes. Federal level? No. With large corporations? Sometimes if there is another suitable competition where you can change, habits relatively easily because there’s consumer choice. That’s why people can be outraged pat Bud Light, and immediately affect their bottom line, but no matter how outraged you are at Bank of America, or Chase Bank, there’s only so much you can do.

What are some practical things that we could do to change things in favor of the people? Will it take a giant social media movement, an in personal revolution, etc…?
Probably just stop giving into what all these people who make money off of getting us mad at each other and talk to your neighbors instead. Real life is nowhere close to what they make $$$ telling you it is. They get power and wealth off your anger towards your fellow American.

With Oliver Anthony’s song coming out and being at the top of the charts, it’s obvious that most Americans are fed up with the current climate of our nation.
Who? Which charts? How are these charts representative of “most” Americans?

As long as Americans have fast foods, sports, and Netflix, Capitol Hill can be on fire and they wouldn’t do anything.

stop electing 70 and 80 year olds to congress that do the opposite of what their constituents want.
Nothing says fricked like a single digit approval rating and a near 100% re-election rate
A large portion of the actual VOTING public are unwilling to put in a new warm body when their representatives have finally earned “seniority “ and sit on high level or powerful positions. Means more for the “gimme “ type even if they hate the rep.

You had that with Q and ToE. Change my mind

Sure something can happen. We could hold a massive protest in Washington DC and March on the capital.
Oh, wait…
