I'd like to see a study regarding covid-19 patients and the way they push a grocery cart

I don't wear a mask or gloves in public but I do wipe down the cart handle then push with my closed fists as opposed to wrapping my fingers around the handle with a grip from hell on it just to be safe. I've always done that, actually, since I'm quite a germaphobe to begin with. This way, less germs get on your fingers and fingertips which are what we use to touch other things.
The last few times I've gone to the store I've noticed something that really stands out to me. Obese people and African Americans (two of the hardest-hit demographics) don't bother to hold the cart differently right now. They're all holding the carts with their hand firmly clasped around the handle. Younger folks and healthier-looking folks are pushing their carts like me - with a closed fist.
I really wonder if there's a correlation to confirmed infections and the way they hold the grocery cart handles.
Pics to show what I'm talking about. I'm #1 and the demographics who are hardest-hit (in my personal observations) are #2.

Sure, why not? We could use one more useless study.

You've cracked it. Well done.

That hang nail on your thumb needs attention. Funny thing is that I always pictured you with bolder colored nails...

I think you've already studied this enough.

I wipe the cart handle
Hold it like always
Don’t touch my face
Don’t needlessly touch products in the store
Pay
Use hand sanitizer
Load car
Put up buggy
Use hand sanitizer
Get home & wash hands

Do you test out multiple carts to find one that rolls perfectly?
I push the cart with my hands wrapped on the handle after sanitizing it and am very conscious about not touching my face. I have antibacterial wipes in my car that I use to clean my hands before touching my steering wheel (old habit from volunteering in schools). I then wash my hands thoroughly after putting the groceries away at home.
Question: do you pick up items off the shelf or produce section using fists or do you wrap your hand around those?

So your theory is all the viruses originate from the inside of the thumb to the pointer finger area ? .. Every other part of the hand touches in the same spot basically in both grips

Fat people lean over the cart and push with their forearms.
