Ice storm in south LA

The worst thing I could imagine that might happen is an ice storm hitting south Louisiana from Lake Charles to New Orleans. Is that at all possible?

Not sure how widespread the one in 89' was but that sucked.

Yes

Lake DeCade froze over solid. Killed a lot of fish. Two guys froze to death in the marsh at the end of the road in Dularge. I was in the marsh and watched it freeze in the daytime. It was cold.

Really? My husband is from Chauvin - I’ll have to ask if he remembers that.

That’s crazy. I was little and all I remember is the snow.

If it wasn’t 1989 it was around then. One of the young men was a Stire from Houma. He and his wife started Stire Office Supply in Houma.
