Pictures make all of us feel better.
GFS keeps shifting this thing west. Spaghetti models do not make me feel better

Yeah, that would be one of the limiting factors if it made it into the western gulf.

Model watching will drive people mad.
They always windshield wiper until there is a well established system.

I know that the models don't mean anything this far out, but it's impossible for me not to constantly check this thread for the updates.

My question is when do the betting sites start getting in on this action?? Seems like there can be some $ to be made.

Exactly. Three years ago, I’d see those 10 day models and say whatever, and that’s if I’d even pay attention to hurricane threads.

Probably have some available. With my luck, I’d bet the house on it hitting me and it would miss and I would lose the house anyway.

Yep. Now, not so much. I’m
nervous watching what this thing does.

Louisiana needs a damn break for a while. Go the frick somewhere else.

If it was this time last year I’d say just hit here again since it’s already fricked up (like I said about the storm after Laura and LC), but after a year there’s been so much progress despite some places looking like Ida hit yesterday. One of my customers just got their new roof yesterday. Would hate to be back at square one again

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought I read that they were able to put recon data into one of the overnight GFS runs...?

I work for REV, if you look at Ida's path up until it bypasses BR you basically have a map of our service area..so no thanks on another 'cane. I drive from BR down to grand isle semi-regularly, and the progress in one year has been nothing short of amazing.

The bad thing is that this thing has the potential to be a monster, no matter which direction it hits.
