I was sitting out on the lanai, watching the hurricane and it was fooking loud. We are now under extreme wind warnings.
This pig will be closest to here around midnight. I kinda hate it already.
Let's coffee.

Do you not read any news? Biden already Oked the disaster area designation days ago so that will kickstart the funding.
Yeah he mentioned he has been in contact with Desantis numerous times and has said the US government is ready to give them whatever they need for storm relief.

This was in Northport an hour ago. That's where poster stuntman said he was riding it out.

Green Cove and Julington are gonna be very interesting to watch through tomorrow
I'm honestly more interested in black creek, as flooding in middleburg will close blanding heading towards OP. Still will be interesting to see how the st johns handles all that rain coming north from central Florida + whatever we get locally. Hoping for the best for all my 904 folk.

Let’s keep the politics out of this thread.
It’s truly disgusting to be mentioning any kind of politics in the middle of a category 4 hurricane affecting millions of people.

I, for one, enjoyed the political commentary that is on topic and pertinent to the discussion.
Because it instantly devolves to this:

Sure. Can't have people saying DeSantis is doing a good job can we?
I've been here a long time and EVERY HURRICANE THREAD EVER has had political discussion in it. My goodness the Katrina thread with Nagin and Bush and Blanco etc. was political af.
NOW all of a sudden it's a problem?
Sure.

Where did I say it was a problem?

I agree. I just wanted to point out that the President is doing what he is expected to do in this situation and offer help. I heard Desantis as well speak about the storm and he also didn’t make it political.
It’s not the time for a lot of political talk. Focus on helping those affected and saving lives.

The fact that it's plausible that the Feds may intentionally interfere with the relief and rescue efforts... just even having to contemplate that is appalling but it might be true.
Biden already did this once to Florida: when Florida was seeing its biggest Covid surge, the Biden administration intentionally cut off their monoclonal antibody shipments and gave them to others states in the name of equity. So Vermont which had like 100 cases per 100,000 people got the same equivalence of monoclonal antibody shipments as Florida which had like 3,000 cases per 100,000 people. They intentionally tried to get Floridians killed to own DeSantis, but luckily DeSantis found another supplier before too many people got killed.
If he did it once, he can do it again regardless of the severity. They are not beneath doing something this vile because this administration is just straight evil, vindictive, and petty.

This is a perfect example on why TD needs a PM feature.
