The Weather Channel is all giddy like it’s Christmas morning. Dr. Hurricane is hyper as hell.

They’re already predicting some very bad storm surge, wind, flooding and destruction for south FL (and it’s not even a TS yet). DeSantis has already declared state of emergency. That’s planning ahead.

Yea, though I have been living in Georgia most of my life, I have always been interested in the weather. I have always watched these threads. Now that I am here I am more interested. LOL. They have always seemed like a bunch of hysterical jackasses on TWC.

Saw where Ron put the word out. Like I said in my last post. We are pretty close to the coast in Sarasota and watching carefully. My wife is a medical professional at the Sarasota Hospital. She will be locked down if there is a major threat. I will be on my own.

I’ll say this, I don’t want to be in the way of a hurricane with an “I” name. They’re mean mofos.

All they need now is to have Shepard Smith tell people they are going to die.

I don’t want to be in the way of any hurricanes.

I’m pretty sure Isadore was my first one down here. It wasn’t too bad and I attended my first hurricane parties. But I remember being scared to death of Lily on approach until she died.

In 2002 that hit LA ? Yeah, we got lucky b/c it was 145 coming straight for Vermilion Bay before it dropped to 100 by the time it hit. Eye went thru Rayne and did some damage, but it could have been much worse.
