One good stomp from an elephant would likely render one dead or unconscious.

people say it isn't that bad and is actually quite peaceful (people that have been resuscitated)

It's easy to stop an elephant from charging. You just have to take their credit card.

Her mother Tatiana said that at first she thought she was joking.

'But then I heard the real horror and pain in Olga’s voice, and the sounds of a bear growling and chewing,' she added. 'I could have died then and there from shock.'

Probably could have taken a few seconds and thought of a different phrase there

Both sound like pretty quick deaths. I still say drowning or dying by fire are the worst

I think the worse is the cave explorer getting stuck and couldn't be rescued. So they just sealed the entrance and made it his tomb. Fire would suck but at least that doesn't take days to die.

I constantly see drowning compared to burning. Makes no sense. Hold your finger over a lit match for five seconds and let us know how it feels.

The cave thing is definitely psychological torture knowing you will end up dying there, but I think those people making the decision to jump from the World Trade Center windows to avoid burning to death is no better.

Heard the other day that if you are burned up in a fire your eyes melt before you die. Sounds bad.

As someone who almost died drowning on their own blood and puss, I can tell you it's not fun.

What about getting stoned to death. That would be a slow painful way to die.

I remember a few years ago a young guy got stuck up to his waist in a mud flat next to the ocean. He could not be pulled out and then the tide slowly came in and eventually over his head and drowned him. Just the desperation he must have felt as the waters slowly rose must have been terrible.

May he RIP.

Does anyone remember this story? I think it was in Alaska, but could be wrong.

I’m sure it’s pretty horrible, but there’s not much that compares to the pain of extreme heat or fire.
