Friend,
What a great topic. I was there, waiting for the doors to open, at the Dillard’s New Year’s Day Sale every year until they ended it. The last such sale was 2021. I was also there every year when Christmas items were marked to 90% off.
We were in Midtown, Manhattan on September 11, 2001 as well as in New Orleans on August 29, 2005.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Very memorable for a Chicago born Yankee.

I could use some guidance on some Mr. Bingle items for the upcoming holiday season.

Friend,
We have very limited Mr. Bingle items in our Christmas decoration supply. One of the three items is Grandmother’s Mr. Bingle stuffed animal. She received it as a gift in 1951 and it is still is good condition. The second is a Mr Bingle glass tree ornament by Christopher Radko. The story behind that ornament is curious. We were shopping at the Dillard’s across the street from The Galleria in Houston, which unexpectedly, is not a very clean or well organized Dillard’s. It was early January and on steep clearance. Originally, $80, I was shocked to find it rang up as $4! What a buy that was.
I am no expert in Mr. Bingle and believe our friend, buttocks, is both more passionate and educated on Mr. Bingle. So he might be better at answering your questions, but I can try.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

I guess 5 Presidential Inaugurations.
But the one I always think about was being in the Superdome when Chris Webber famously called the time out Michigan didn't have and got a technical, leading them to lose to UNC.

Tulane coming back against USC in the Cotton Bowl was unreal.
Underrated LSU win was when the 2000 Men’s B-Ball team ran dunk lines against #1 Arizona in the PMAC.
ETA: I should have read the thread first. Guess it wasn’t underrated. It was just a kick arse game.

It happened during a few weeks of some of the biggest news stories ever
In July and August of ‘69…

Ted Kennedy killed Mary Jo Kopechne
