frick them. They’d paint him as an old white racist and everything that’s wrong with the world.

Everything about LSU is in the shitter. Need to get rid of the President, the Governor, the coach, the staff, half the team.

Yeah, you can, but only let LSU have it if you or your heirs never want it back. And don’t expect LSU to honor any loan agreement you try to establish.

Assume, based on recent events with Middleton, that LSU will NOT act in good faith or with honor.

Is it an actual donation or just being put on loan to the museum?

This is why I come to the OT for all my problems. Good call.

I need to find out if it a loan or a donation. The rest of my family is all on board with this, but they're not as tuned in with the disfunction that is LSU like I am.

I'm torn here. He loved LSU, and I'm sure he'd be proud to be part of the museum.

He might have a different opinion now. LSU has changed quite a bit since 9/11

Don’t do it. They’ll use it in some CRT propaganda.

Don’t do it. You are in a no win situation if you do. All it will take is a couple of SJW students to protest and then it’s news and not the tribute you would be expecting.

LSU most certainly does not currently hold the same values that your relative did, especially when it comes to the military, 9/11, or even the US in general. Don't give them anything that you value because when they inevitably declare that all those items in that museum are deemed offensive and unworthy of display, they'll put them in a back room and leave them to rot for eternity.

If you feel the need to donate, find a legit LA military museum that's not subject to the whims of the vocal minority and the permanently aggrieved. The last place I would send any military gear in 2021 is to a university.

They removed his name from the library because of a letter he wrote 50 years ago regarding integration. They branded him as a racist. When his family asked for his memorabilia back, LSU refused.

Speaking of the Middleton, did the family ever get their shite back? I know they had requested it.

They deemed him to be an offensive person and took his name off the library. The family said that since he was so offensive that they wanted back all his personal items that were loaned to LSU for display. LSU pretty much told them to get fricked and that they're going to keep those items in a back room forever.

It will do the school the most good for you to refuse citing the Middleton issue. Maybe they will hear more and more of that.

The family might prefer it be displayed somewhere but I would not put it in the hands of LSU.
