Dotd guy explained to me that the cameras have limited recording storage. It was something like a weeks’ worth of recording storage time. Also the cameras are in the process of being upgraded.

So the BR cops were smart enough to hang back some while ole Barney from Addis was right on his arse? I mean clearly, he didn’t need to pursue as aggressively as he did, because even after he wrecked himself and killed 2 people, the br cops were able to maintain the chase and apprehend the suspect

I thought in the original thread, people were saying this cop wasnt even in the chase, that he was speeding to try to catch up?

He wasn’t in the original chase. It started in Baton Rouge. Hoenstly, this is even worse for the officer. The guy somehow inserted himself into the chase and got ahead of all the officers from BR 
Must have been doing some nascar maneuvers to get in front do the other cops already in pursuit.

Well according to BRPD, they called off their pursuit of the car before it got off the bridge.

One thing I noticed, the girls car was moving towards the intersection and you can see that white car fly through the red light. At that moment I wish that would have set off an alarm in her head to not just roll through the light. I don't think she seen that.

I don't think that's DOTD footage you're seeing.
This is the camera that shot that footage from best I can tell looking at angle and location. Maybe that's the City's or Railroad's cameras.

It was reported that BRPD gave up when the suspect crossed the parish line, so not sure if they "maintained" anything.
Also read the stolen vehicle crapped out on I10 when he was going back thru BR. I think BRPD just got lucky the guy had to quit. Dumb shite probably ran out of gas.

He appears to be going at least 30-40 mph faster than the pursuing BR officers that come through after him. Why did he feel the need to join in and be the first car in chase and right on the suspects arse?
