Found this interesting from that article
His comments and demeanor?

Clayton called the video capturing Cauthron's actions some of the worst he's ever seen.
"When the public and when the triers of facts see the totality of evidence, particularly his actions moments before the accident and impact, his comments, demeanor... goldfish will stop swimming," Clayton said. "That's how damning it is."

I’ll lean towards something like, “They shouldnit been in mer way when I was doing the racing fast for mer job.”
And WBRZ…we won’t show you the crash…but stop the video. Theeeeere. Freeze the shot right as his push bars are about to rip the car in half.

You literally do need a policy bc things change quickly. I know you don’t understand but adrenaline gets the best of these small town cops who they allow to do this shite. Just like Livingston parish who always gets in trouble.

shouldn’t need a policy to say blowing through a red light at 100 without slowing down is a bad idea.
That is the exact reason that company policies exist.

The Addis vehicles don’t have a light bar on top. All of the lights are in the grill, front windshield and rear windshield.
But I saw a video from the chase when they passed in front of bennedettos and they did have sirens on still couldn’t really see the lights.

Suspect was the white car. Addis cop was the first car in the chase. Cop was negligent but the video cleans up a lot of false claims made in the original thread.
Interesting

The lights and sirens are insufficient at that speed. A driver doesn’t have enough time to to locate the direction and source of the sound and to respond.
Police officers need to understand that other drivers may not respond immediately to their lights or siren, so they need to go slow enough to visually confirm each lane of potential oncoming traffic before crossing a red light. Clearly this police officer didn’t have time to do that at this speed.

There are several cameras at that intersection. From different angles than the one shown.
There have been accidents posted in the past on the Brusly Facebook page, so I’ll assume they’re for the City? Not 100% sure.
None of this magnitude, mostly “rear ends” which happen on that stretch 3-5 times a week.

I didn’t know that cops there don’t have the tech to change the lights. I bitch sometimes bc it sucks to sit through a long red light then have cop, ambulance or fire truck reset the light to stay green for them to go through making me sit through another red light cycle.
However, I can’t imagine police or emergency vehicles not being able to do that for the safety of everyone.

Even if they did, at pursuit speeds there wouldn’t be time for the light to cycle and clear the intersection safely before the LEO sped through.

You’re probably correct but I’ve seen them change the light to red in all directions from pretty far back before. Of course, the lights and sirens are hard to miss even from a distance. They are insanely loud.

Would love to see Ty’quels rap sheet, I’m sure it’s a safe wager he should have already been locked up and not walking freely among us civilized members of society. But for the cries of “we have too many people incarcerated”, yet again he is likely proof we don’t have nearly enough.

The article didn't say anything about DOTD.

I would think that camera belongs to the railroad.

News stations get live feeds that they then can record on their own. (Worked for a station and actually recorded the feeds before)
