I split with my girl after the 3rd go-round

And I'm not looking back. It's actually a relief.
Sometimes a person will stay in a situation even though their heart isn't really in it. The last few months my behavior changed and it showed.
We were apart for 3 years. 3 whole years I got to live solo and evolve as a person. Things are different.
I guess the point I'm making is don't settle under any circumstances, whether if you have a previous history, you feel like time is running out, or whatever.

In general, I'd say one go-round is enough. A second is understandable with some context, but it still seems like a bad idea. A third, though? That shite just isn't going to work.

It’s best to “evolve as a person” before ever entering a committed relationship. Far too many people quickly become codependent after pairing up with someone. That’s a miserable existence and usually results in a break-up.
