That’s the new goal. He’s mentioned it many many times.
This is basically what Trump guaranteed him.
JBE's inability to figure our the logistical issues to get this done has cost this state at least 15 days. Who knows what that equates to from a $ standpoint.
He's waiting for the federal government to figure this out for him despite having the federal government basically write a plan for him weeks ago.

What do you want him to do? I guess he could go to Abbott or Hologic and work the production line.

I'd love to see you explain that

He is speaking for the overwhelming number of Americans. There are over 4.5 million people in Louisiana. It is becoming clearer by the day that most people who get this are asymptomatic or barley symptomatic. By and large, these people who feel fine are not going to go line up to be tested for Covid. And even if you could do 200k tests per month, what would that do? It is a single point in time test, and one could easily catch the virus before the test results even came back.

Why doesn't our spineless media ask some questions on testing numbers? Someone with balls needs to push him into a corner and don't let him out until he understands the stupidity of what he is doing

I wouldn't say that. I also wouldn't say it is the end all be all.

I couldn't figure out why'd you respond like this until I realized the "that's my fetish" gif didn't get posted. So, um...

No because then he’d be taking away the job from someone.
I’d like him to:
(1) explain where the 200,000 number came from. Trump agreed to have the Feds provide for his request. The Feds to my knowledge didn’t tell this state to test 200k.
(2) release daily numbers of cases in nursing homes and jails/prisons as that seems to be where there are pockets of high concentration. None of these folks are intermingling with the rest of us
And what I’d really like him to do besides anything testing related is for a change to concentrate his efforts on getting the folks who are eligible for unemployment benefits taken care of. His restrictions caused this mess in this state for a large part. His administration is dropping the ball on helping people get through this.

What would testing change?

Man, any time peej agrees with you on something so stupid, you've put yourself in a horrible position.

JBE has no clue how to run an economy. He has no choice but to pressure the federal government for a bailout. The man had the worst economy and highest unemployment in the country. It was either this or pray for a hurricane. He will continue his baby steps every two weeks through the summer

It's just a never ending moving goalpost.
Flatten the Curve!
Get more ventilators!
More testing!
Next it'll be "No deaths, zero risk!"
Vast majority are asymptomatic.
We aren't getting positive people. It's not possible to isolate this virus. Just move forward.
And even if we could isolate it here in US.
We'd get flare-ups due to foreign visitors.
Only path is herd immunity through natural infections.
It's honestly about control, more handouts, and voting by mail to cheat the election.

Mass testing doesn’t serve any real purpose.
The tests themselves are so unreliable doctors are likely to assume you have it, and treat accordingly.
