I see it now finally. JBE won’t open anything further til we can get to 200k test a month

1) Who has been turned away because lack of testing? Who needs a test, but hasn't had one?
2) We aren't shut down because of tests. We are shut down because honor code is trying to squeeze more federal dollars from the US Gov't, local business be damned.

If any testing needs to really be done, it needs to be the antibody testing

Flatten the Curve!
Get more ventilators!
More testing!
Next it'll be "No deaths, zero risk!"
Vast majority are asymptomatic.
We aren't getting positive people. It's not possible to isolate this virus. Just move forward.
And even if we could isolate it here in US.
We'd get flare-ups due to foreign visitors.
Only path is herd immunity through natural infections.

That's my question.
Where is this 200K a month number coming from? I understand the need to be able to test, test quick, with quick results.
But we haven't tested 200K people total since we began this.
Who is going to get tested? Are we just going to randomly test people?
Or does he just want to start each month with 200K test kits and we test whomever we need to test even if it's less than 200K?

There are only two states in the country that are testing at a higher per capita than LA, so you're thinking makes no sense.

I mean I guess there could be a reason to need the capacity for 200k tests i just wonder if it's an issue now

Testing doesn’t solve anything.
You can test negative and be positive, there are false positives, there are false negatives and a negative test only means you don’t currently have antibodies not that you don’t have it or never had it
