I don't know, must be faster than that, if that is slow.

That's very slow for a state meet. If they won and were ahead by 20 seconds I will assume the kid you mentioned ran between 49-52 seconds. What was the overall time?

It doesn't say they were DQ'd, but I know they were. The times don't even show that they had fastest time, unless DQ time was added.

***Edit***

NM, those are seed times, not final heat time.

shouldn't the team in the lead have been handing off in the inside lane and the second place team in the second lane if they were that close?

It was only classes B and C tonight. Jehovah Jireh didn't get the other team (New Living Word) disqualified, at least not by evidence in that picture. New Living Word was DQ'd for exchanging outside the exchange zone. The JJ runner is stepping off the track with plenty of clearance, and you can see the other guy has already handed off the baton

fricking Track marshalls are the worst. They always have to find some reason to raise their little flag.

Regardless, athletes are still required to remain in their lanes until all exchanges are made in the respective sector.

4x400 exchanges aren't done in lanes after the first exchange. The runners are lined up in the exchange zone in order based on their team's position. After you hand off, the next team moves into lane 1 to take the exchange. The JJ runner handed off, stepped off to the inside, then the other team exchanged. If you do something to leave the 20m exchange zone in a 4x400 you're doing something very wrong anyway.

He's not saying the disqualification happened because of the photo, he is saying he just happened to get a photograph of the violation.

The results if anyone is interested, you can see "New Living Word" on the bottom with DQ-out of zone

Thanks for clearing this up. I swore JJCA was DQ'ed, it happened on this pass. NLW's time was probably 10 secs faster.

Huh? So did the team in Blue or the team in Red finish the race 1st, regardless of the DQ.

I'm so confused.
