It’s the new makeover they did. Don’t you like it?

The property was declared a public nuisance by the City-Parish and ordered closed.

Those were the nicest apartments in Tigerland when I lived there in the 90s. I couldn't afford them and lived in a shittier complex in TL. It was pretty much still all college students though.

Is there a problem with Earth's gravitational pull in 2024?

About 7,000 years ago, God saw the light and said "It was good."

And it was good.

I lived in Tiger Plaza in the mid 90s. My upstairs neighbors were a group of Hispanics. I think there was 100 of them living in a 2 bedroom apartment. They'd play their Mexican music turned up to 11 at all hours, but all we'd hear downstairs was the same Latin drumbeat playing over and over and over again.

Not all of them had a key to their apartment, so they'd sometimes use our windowsill to climb up to their balcony.

One drunken night, we greased the sill, and laughed as one of them slipped and fell.

I think a lot of the Tigerland housing is just empty these days. I drive through there sometimes and almost everything on the east side of Alvin Dark looks abandoned.

Early 90s? By the time I was there in 97 I wouldn't call it nice. Definitely budget friendly and a good location for some fun adventures. I doubt it has been cleaned since I was there, probably the same carpet and everything.
