My favorite Mississippi thing has to be Back Bay Boulevard not far from this. It starts as a 4 lane from the interstate and then drops to a two lane road in front of Boomtown, then it widens back up to a 4 lane. It is a nice smooth road away from the traffic of US 90. They future proofed it with stoplights in case the traffic level rises to need it. Right now it is only in Flash mode and is a 4 way stop. It is probably the dumbest road built in Mississippi.

Well your brother would be correct with regard to it not being an ocean.

That’s down the road a little. Almost positive there is one right on the beach in Gulfport or biloxi.

The Mississippi Sound is basically a big lake. The Gulf doesn't start until you get to the barrier islands

We throw this word around way to liberally.

It's very weird in this case. On the list of "trashy" things about Biloxi, this is way way down it.

Yep. About 3/4 mile to the East of the ramp.

No, he would not. The Gulf of Mexico is part of the Atlantic Ocean.

This is a guy spoiled by Florida beaches.

Man, I’ve been to a lot of beaches around the world, and I’ve never seen much better than the one in that picture, other than in SE USA, mostly Florida. (I’m sure there are some, but not many).

Seems kinda trashy if you ask me.

Doesn’t seem that trashy compared to what I-110 in Baton Rouge goes over or thru.

Good spot to cast net for bait shrimp

ETA:

That's also where the homeless beach dwellers go to catch some shade in the middle of summer.

Wait till I-310 runs from the Gulfport Canal exit to the Gulfport terminal.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is on FIRE!

Well, with that line of thinking, then Lake Borgne and Lake Pontchartrain are also oceans.

The Gulf of America is not an ocean and Biloxi sits on the Mississippi sound, not the gulf.
