re: I never realized that Biloxi has an Interstate ramp that is built literally over the beach

I had to do oil spill inspections back in the day. One day had to go under this overpass while checking the beach. As I approached the pass I noticed it held a group of residents. They sent out their troll, a Meth head lady who’s age was indeterminable 30-80. She said in troll voice, “What are you doing here?” I gave her my quest, and she allowed me passage to the other side. Oil spill was a crazy time on the coast.

That shell gas station that you are referring to also has a facebook page called “ Shell by the beau-uncensored”.

Been several times. The secret is to get the box tickets that include the buffet. Jambalaya, seafood pasta, fries, and gumbo. Can’t beat the price, seats, and food going that route.

I have stopped there a time or two for gas there. Stupid me for forgetting to stop somewhere else to fill up. Last time I went someone was looking for used scratch offs in the garbage in case someone inadvertently threw a winning ticket and asking for change. That was enough for me to stop going, and Buc-ee’s is now open for cheap gas.

This is a guy spoiled by Florida beaches. Man, I’ve been to a lot of beaches around the world, and I’ve never seen much better than the one in that picture, other than in SE USA, mostly Florida. (I’m sure there are some, but not many).
Shoot even the FL Atlantic side beaches north of South Beach are no better than that really.
So what people really mean is the gulf coast beaches from Gulf Shores to PCB and from Clearwater south to Ft Myers.
There are a few decent Atlantic beaches, but between the sand and the water the Gulf >>> Atlantic.

I used to live in Biloxi. I hold disdain for that coast.

The Gulf is official part of the Atlantic. This is not something that is even considered debatable among geographers.

Part of and is are two separate things. The Gulf is NOT an ocean.

My mother used to live right there.
Seal Street. Katrina destroyed her apartment on Beach Road.

Right next to the Biloxi Shuckers stadium (great time if you've never been) & the Beau.

Went fishing last year with a friend who moved back to Ms. a few years ago. I stayed at the Golden Nugget Biloxi and had to drive to Pass Christian to meet him at the ramp. I guarantee I passed over 10 waffle houses on that stretch of Hwy. 90.
