Just out of pure curiosity I looked that up. I wouldn't do same if I were you. Live your life to the fullest extent possible, and keep a mason jar of turpentine handy. You'll see why later.

Get some prid (drawing sauce ) if that doesn’t help then get an X-acto knife and cut into it. Pour alcohol and then peroxide into the cut. It’ll go away
I had a huge cyst or something on my jaw. I cut into it and used twisters to pull out the hard white puss in the middle. Alcohol and peroxide and then it went away.

What is the apprehension on going to the doctors? No insurance? Cuz, in the least you should goto an urgent care.

I’ve heard of ingrown hairs getting bad like this. So bad they go to doctor thinking it’s something terribly wrong. Also, could be a hernia. Man up and go to the doctor and be done with it.

Yep. Or a boil. They can persist for a couple weeks. Do NOT pick at or pop it.
Put some Bactroban/Mupirocin(sp) on it daily. If it doesn't go away a Dr can lance it at the urgent clinic.

Find The hottest dermatologist you can find in your area. Look at porn the whole time you are waiting for your appointment. When the doc asks to see the problem, spring your boner out. Profit.
