I need an oxygen mask when driving on I-49 through Alexandria

There used to be an awful mothballs smell. I can't identify the terrible chemical smell there now. Is this Alexandria's way of encouraging drivers to exit the interstate and experience the traffic circles?

You really need a fast car

The worst smell on any Interstate is the Harris stockyards in I-5 in CA near Coalinga. Nothing else is even close.

It’s creosote baw. Look to the right if you’re headed north. You’ll see the telephone poles laying on the ground.

I think I have one in my medical cabinet I can let you use

Keep driving. You don't deserve to spend more time in GOATexandria.

I never noticed the smell.
But it was like instant depression in alexandria so maybe the depression covered it up.

Alexandria, armpit of Louisiana!

There’s a Pogey plant around Abbeville that would give them A run for the money

I hated that smell when I lived there. But I grew up in NELA and worked in West Monroe so I couldn't bitch too much.

That's Bunkie pie baw. Pull over at any gas station and blare some loud rap or country and theyll flock to ya.

There’s two of them. One in Alex and one in Pineville. Environmental messes, both of them. Worked on both sites back in the day.

The smell in Alexandria is a picnic compared to a Pogey plant. Even a paper mill smells better.

They must have a creosote plant somewhere around Holden or Walker. I smell it driving on I-12 a lot

Not sure about Cameron. Used to be one down around Dularge. Zappata owned it I think. I’d take a stock yard or feed lot or paper mill every time over a Pogey plant.
