That is just sad. He says the people there are lame. Anytime I've been the people there are pretty friendly. I had a friend live there for her pharmacy residency that is from Louisiana and she LOVED it there.

Hell...wonder if he even realizes that they have a pretty active LSU alumni association in San Diego that puts on a massive crawfish boil every year Memorial Day weekend. I've never been but friends have gone and said it was a huge event.

Is this where we come in and say Louisiana sucks? Loved growing up in Louisiana and wouldn't change a thing. Hell that Stand by Me movie is pretty close too how it was. Mardi Gras, cajun cooking, and Friday nights at Alex Box PRICELESS. Moving forward Louisiana just hasn't changed for the good in 20 years no new business, shitty roads, shite politics, and shitty public education. As you stated other than visiting my mom and relatives I have no reason to return.

We had a designated driver for the night, bro. They drove my truck. Calm down.

I was living in Colorado!

Each year I get the itch to move away from South Texas. The heat is killer. I like being near the water, I’m okay with Hispanic culture.

That said, my best friend lives in Colorado. Something about that Rocky Mountain air just does it for me.

Spent 2.5 years in Philadelphia. Loved Philly, big city living, the proximity to other places. I’ve been back for 3 days and can’t believe I ever left. I fricking love Louisiana

If you can't enjoy living in San Diego then the problem is you.
I didn't say I don't enjoy living here, it's nice. That said, most of the people from here are lame as frick.

Perhaps you don't think they're lame because you're just as lame and stuck up as them. Get over yourself.

Sounds like a 'you' problem

Hmm, I can't figure out why people don't gravitate to you with statements like this. Southern hospitality is lost on you.

We will be in San Diego (2 nights in Pine Valley and 5 nights in La Jolla) for a week on the May 18th. Can you recommend any restaurants in LaJolla and in the Italian Quarter in downtown SD? Not super high end ...just good food. Also, doesn't SD have a good food truck scene?

The guy can't make friends in one of the best cities to live in the U.S. that likely has transplants from all over living there....you really want to take restaurant suggestions from him?

Drew Brees agrees with you, except he said it in a nicer way.

I'm from South Mississippi not LA and having relocated to Springfield, MO I definitely know this feeling. College football season is lame as hell here, no one gets mad if you talk shite cause no one cares. And they all think the Chiefs got fricked as bad as the Saints. WTF.
However Kramer and Chris Chinea are assigned to the Springfield Cardinals for now so there's that.

I miss Louisiana

Got the same itch when I visited New Orleans last week. I may have moved from there when I was 12, but every time I go back to visit family, I wish I could live there. I only wish it wasn’t so expensive to have the quality of life I’d require to be there with kids.

Damnit, it has its flaws, and it ain’t perfect, but I miss that place.

4 years ago, after 33 years in LA, I moved to WA...never looked back. Other than not getting a good shrimp poboy, no live oaks draped in Spanish moss, no more trips to Tiger Stadium or Alex Box...I don't miss LA one bit.
