Ain't that the truth. I can remember her and Chip W. (don't know if you remember him) on my school bus talking about vampires on the ride home in the afternoons

So you don't think living in Baton Rouge for 27 years counts as "long enough"? I moved out of NBR when I left for college. Never lived there again. Lived in various parts of BR (near LSU, South BR, etc).

No offense but no, I don’t consider that “living” in Louisiana. You moved when you were 27. You were a young adult that hadn’t really experienced Louisiana had to offer.

I get it, you’re very angry and bitter and blame the state for your bitterness. You’ve made up your mind, however, there’s still something that keeps you coming back to TD. You can’t just completely let go of Louisiana and that’s why the OP started this thread.

I don't remember Chip. I mostly knew Central, Zachary, Redemtorist people but a few from Scotlandville. She dated a buddy of mine for a few months in HS. She used to come to our drunken bonfires. I remember she had reddish/brown hair and not a lot of boobs.

I wouldn't have recognized her 10 years later if a few people didn't tell me who she was

Cause I like the message board.

You tried posting on reddit? Yikes

I can still hate Louisiana but like posting on the board. I'm sure I'm not the only poster that feels this way considering the numerous threads on an almost daily basis about how much Louisiana sucks gets started on here.

I get it though...you like Louisiana and consider it your home and chose to live there so you don't like people bashing it.

I bet you knew some Lamberts then. Couple of them went to SMHS. One of them lived down the street from me in NBR growing up.

Indeed I do. I grew up in Tanglewood off of Hooper but we moved out of there in the late 80s.

I don’t care if you or anyone else bashes the state, it has plenty of issues and reasons to bash it.

It’s just very odd how obsessed you are with hating this state when you have never really lived here.

Regardless of what the state means to you or represents, it’s peculiar to hold such inane animosity towards it, or any other place for that matter. Dark and tough days are experienced by millions of people across the world. I’m sure hanging on to such abhorrence and bitterness about a city/state isn’t healthy for the soul.

Every single person is 100% entitled to his or her opinion, just bizarre how one can be so vile and bitter after all these years about their hometown.

I’m guessing Nurse is 37-38? That’s a long time to still be so bitter

Nurse, show us on the doll where Louisiana touched you

At least you’re not driving in traffic for that long

frick I wish

Just turned 41

And I will not give my reasons...just know there are numerous reasons I left Louisiana knowing I would never live there again. And once I left...I deep down hated having to spend the money to come back to visit...but did so for my immediate family. Now that they no longer live there...I have no reason to ever go back and I'm quite content with that.
