I think that's fair. Of course, there's always two sides to the story but I tend to agree if he was controlling to the point of abuse that she would've put it all out on front street.
At the very least, I think he probably should've known better to marry (not frick, but marry) a 20 year old in counseling because of her lack of "direction in life". He's competent enough to be a good businessman and making a decent amount of money. We tell people all of the time to take a risk assessment before getting into certain situations. I think that at least applies here to this guy.
I feel bad for him, but it's kind of like that friend who marries someone after knowing them for 2 months. You tell them it's probably a bad idea and you hate it for them when it all comes falling down, but it's a little bit of an "I told you so" situation.

We all have our faults, so I am sure he does have some issues. However, she sounds like a TERRIBLE decision maker(debt, career, infidelity, etc) and needs to be told what to do more often than not.
ETA: I think most of that article is bullshite and fluff to show how independent and brave she is.

How can people get beyond the facts?
Broke & directionless.
Married older man with all the money.
Traveled, spent, enjoyed all the luxuries.
Worked PART-TIME.
Openly admits to having multiple affairs & does not mention a single affair on the part of the husband.
She divorced him & got a hefty settlement.
Where is the bravery...?

'Trophy Wife' she's just flattering herself. She's a younger wife, and she got bored with him, had affairs, took his money, and then moved on. Wow. Whatever, he's not near as awful as she'd like to make him out to be. Please stop with the trophy wife stuff, you're not nearly as amazing as you think you are. Your a cheating *itch.

earlier pics when she was younger, older, doesn't matter. Wont help the situation. She tried to enter ugly contests as a kid and was told no professionals. She was using the words trophy wife but i do not think she knows what that means. If ugly were bricks, she would have her own projects.
