Good on you. You’ll live to be a hundred. Used to run 5x a week. Addicted to it. Kids and then deciding to really pursue a career changed all of that. It is hard to justify an hour and a half a day for the time being when working from 6:30 to 5:30.

I ran 1100 miles in one year and I thought that was a lot. You passed that in April.

Good on you buddy. I like to run but starting this time of year it gets too cold to make the run enjoyable so screw all that. I’ll pick it back up in the spring.

My daily running routine is to knock out all the miles at once, early in the morning. However, sometimes I have to break it up into two runs so I'll finish my day with a secondary run.

Bruh, you have a serious OCD issue if you do this.

But as others have said, why do you run almost exactly 10 miles a day every day? Why would you not change it up almost daily? Run some sprints, run some long endurance runs, intervals, etc.

LMAO. Goals are fantastic.

I stand by first post, he will wear out his knees and hips if he keeps up those miles for years.

I used to run 50 miles a week. I then realized that i lost too much weight and looked like a stick man. I taken it down to around 12-15 miles a week with weightlifting and i feel that I look much better.

and yes it's nice not being a fattie

I thought that I was doing well. I have run 131.1 miles this month as of today and have 1 day to go. That is my best month so far. Last year I ran 1180 miles and this year I will probably end up about 1225 miles. I was kinda proud of my running this year then I opened this thread. Don't know how you maintain 10 miles every day. I have been averaging 5.25 miles this month and thought that was a lot. Very impressed and humbled by your numbers.

Yeah, it's horrible for your body.

I talked to a young woman who is a physical therapist and an extreme runner. I told her she should back off because running that much is bad for you. She said that was a common misconception; that running properly - even 10 miles per day - is not bad for you. She said the problem is people who run with some sort of misalignment.

A mile a day, maybe two and eat well would be more beneficial to overall health than 10 miles a day.

I run a mile and a quarter just about every day, at near vomitous speed. That and weight training are best.

That said, I did enjoy longer, slower runs very much as a young man.

Props to you.

If y’all ever see ole FCP running, keep watching because you’ll get to see the bear that’s chasing him.

I already stated this but there is little to no good data to suggest this. If you run properly (good form) and build up to mileage, it is not bad for knees and hips

My head football coach threatened me with running every free moment in the school day if I did not pick up the grades in the two courses I was failing, Advanced Math & Physics. I aced every test in each the rest of the fall grading period and ended up with B's in both.

OH hell no, I did not want to run run run.
