Did you even read the article?

FOX 8 News has obtained and analyzed GPS data from the City of New Orleans Department of Safety and Permits that shows several times inspectors logged they signed off on projects at the site, but vehicle data shows they did not visit.

You can't schedule a regular inspection using modern methods and you damn sure don't know when said inspection will occur.

Or just utilize the data from the gps in the truck.
quote:
The inspections log from the city shows inspector Julie Tweeter signed off on work at the construction site that day, but GPS records from the department’s vehicle fleet seems to tell a different story. Through the data, FOX 8 was able to determine which vehicle Tweeter likely drove. It stopped at her house for nearly two hours around noon but never came close to the Hard Rock site at 1031 Canal Street.
quote:
One example on October 1, less than two weeks before the collapse, GPS records show Tweeter arrived at New Orleans City Hall at 7:58 a.m. and stayed there until 1 p.m. She then drove a few spots in the Central Business District but not coming close to the Hard Rock Hotel site. However, in city inspection logs, Tweeter signed off on a slab inspection at the construction site.
I think they are.

Given a photo date and orientation of the house relative to the sun, one could probably approximate when she was home in said work truck (if hers for the city), which could then perhaps indicate that she's stealing time and pencil-whipping inspections.

The families should sue the LIVING DOG frick out of the City, Ms Tweeter, Ms Tweeters boss, Latoya...
Criminals that haven't made it out of the first grade, have positions that kill people from ineptitude deserve what they get. The families need to bankrupt the city.... it would be deserving...
This what happens when.....Latoya runs the city.. (life fricking happened right)

From the looks of her, had she actually bothered to visit the site she may have provided the sort of load test that could have prevented this tragedy.

Read the article. Granted, OP should have provided a little more information of what is going on.

You will most likely have to do all of the inspection scheduling in their office, then return for confirmation of the inspection, then schedule the next trade's inspection while you are there.
It is a good idea to go ahead and prep the owner for a time extension. Should you hit the 5/30 date, you will have exceeded their expectations.

She does suck big time, but this kind of incompetence has been happening in Nola for a very long time.

Do you have access to said data? Are we sure city inspector trucks have GPS? I'm just talking about estimates based on that photo alone.
How do you think this all started? Lee Zurik and his team analyzed months of GPS data from the code enforcement department.
Tweeter was only the FIRST, and that article came out on February 18th in the morning. Later that night Zurik filed a follow-up concerning a second member of the department.
Then yesterday, there was another article indicating that the Mayor was coming down on the head of code-enforcement,at the same time his inspectors were defying his guidelines, orders, instructions, to submit accurate photographs of inspection sites and actually go TO inspection sites.
He is already on leave. He got screwed from above and below.

Mayor Latoya "Life Happens" was too bizzy getting den contributions from da playas to have real inspectors on the job.
Should just transfer the S&W Board management team to the city inspectors department. They are cut from the same cloth...
