I think the sandwich is overrated myself. It was good but definitely not good enough to justify the long lines and violence.

I wanted to update you that this thread inspired me to eat a chicken sandwich for lunch, and we were in line at 11:10am. Chick-fil-A at my sons request.
We passed by Popeyes at 1:00pm and there was no line and my fat arse almost went for another one.

The crowds have slowed down tremendously. It's no longer the grueling experience it was a few weeks ago

It depends on where you are. A lot of people are crazy cause they love that chicken from popeyes. But a lot of people don't know anything about it. Are you living where people ain't got a clue of do you have other better chicken places there?

Just had the same experience. I ordered my food, they didn’t ask any questions, were super friendly, and got all the food I ordered out quickly and hot.
Couldn’t have been smoother and that sandwich is the truth.

I finally ate the spicey chicken sandwich and was not blown away, albeit it came from an establishment with “all white” employees, (yes that is possible). I may have to take a mulligan and get an authentic sandwich with a side of attitude.
